24 Mar Lecture: Paul’s Journey to Prison
“And so we came to Rome!” Twice Luke announces this in the final chapter of Acts. About 2,000 years ago, Paul and his companions embarked on the long journey to Rome, where Paul would remain under house arrest for two years. Paul’s journey took him through a number of places, including Rhegium, Puteoli, the Forum of Appius and the Three Taverns (28:13-15). Parts of the roads Paul walked have survived until today, along with important relics and artifacts from the early Christians. In this lecture, Dr. Thompson will describe what it was like to walk on those roads and teach on what we can learn from those Christian artifacts about Christ and his Church. Please join us for this amazing tour of Paul’s journey to Rome!
