Happy… Good Friday?

Yes. In Chinese today is called “Suffering Friday,” because Jesus suffered, but in English we say “Good Friday.” Why “good”? Our sins put Jesus on that cross 2000 years ago and that is sad, but what makes Good Friday good is what Jesus did on that Friday. He willingly took our place. Our sin has no power over us any longer because of him. What a good good Friday! We here at ALS are praying that you’ll have some moments this weekend to dwell on these eternal facts.
